About Us

Welcome to Heights Dental Center!

I would like to say "thank you" for taking the time to learn more about our dental practice. I have enjoyed practicing dentistry at this same location since 1985, and have had the opportunity to make many friends through my dental practice. Most of us are on a first name basis and I hope you will be too.

I was recently selected as one of "America's Top Dentists" for 2009 which is the second time I have been fortunate enough to recieve that honor. I was originally named in 2003-2004 and was also selected in 2006-2007 for listing in "Who's Who for Professionals". My goal is to see that you will always have the best treatment available in the most comfortable manner possible.

I truly enjoy helping people improve the appearance of their smiles and have been a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry for a number of years. Recently, the techniques and materials used with placing a special type of bonded porcelain veneer has completely changed the way we can "change your smile". Dramatic improvements in color, shape and alignment can often be achieved without the need for shots or traditional drilling techniques. This is the Lumineer technique. Healthy teeth can easily be transformed with thin layers of a special bonded porcelain. I'll be more than happy to explain the exact treatment the next time you are in.

As a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, I am dedicated to helping patients replace missing teeth through the placement of dental implants. From a single tooth to replacing multiple missing teeth, there are excellent solutions with dental implants. Results provide a natural and comfortable feeling and appearance that feels completely normal. I have restored hundreds of dental implant cases since 1987 and assure you that the results can be remarkable. We see technical advances in dental implant treatment every year that helps more patients resolve difficult problems.

I realize not everyone will require such specialized care, so we make every effort to insure that all of our patients are treated with the best techniques and most biocompatible dental materials available in every phase of dentistry. I attend lectures and seminars on a variety of areas of patient care every year. Recent topics have included the link between oral health and general health, salivary diagnosis for breast cancer, and dental restorations that can be designed and fabricated completely by computers without using traditional dental impressions.

Since beginning practice, I have been a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and San Antonio District Dental Society. I am also very proud of the fact that I have a son attending dental school who plans to join our practice and a daughter who is a technical advisor for a dental implant company.

I look foward to seeing you and helping you in any way I can.
